Mallorca has a good network of hospitals, both public and private.
Public hospitals
- Hospital Son Espases (Palma) – largest in the Balearics, 24h A&E
- Hospital Son Llàtzer (Palma) – general care, 24h A&E
- Hospital Comarcal de Inca – serves the north
- Hospital de Manacor – serves the east
Private hospitals
- Clínica Juaneda (Palma) – international department, English-speaking staff
- Hospital Quirónsalud Palmaplanas – modern, international
- Clínica Rotger (Palma) – established private clinic
- Hospital de Llevant (Manacor) – private option for the east
Emergency – Urgencias
Call 112. Public hospitals have 24h A&E. Waiting times can be 2-6 hours for non-life-threatening cases. Private clinics offer faster treatment.
Centros de Salud
For non-urgent cases, each municipality has a health centre with GPs and emergency service.
Insurance and access
- Public: With Tarjeta Sanitaria
- Private: With private insurance or self-pay
- EHIC: Only for tourists, not residents
