Sóller Weekly Market

Located in the heart of the Orange Valley, the weekly market in Sóller is one of the most atmospheric markets in northwestern Mallorca. Every Saturday, the central square in front of the imposing Sant Bartomeu Church transforms into a lively gathering place—framed by the famous historic tram and the unique charm of this small town nestled among the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana.

What can you find at the weekly market in Sóller?

Stalls are lined up side by side around the Plaça de la Constitució: fresh local fruits and vegetables, along with the valley’s famous oranges and lemons. The selection is rounded out by Mallorcan specialties such as olives, olive oil from the “golden valley,” sheep’s cheese, and sobrassada. You’ll also find textiles, fashion accessories, shoes, leather goods, handmade soaps, plants, and handcrafted decorations here. The market thus combines the locals’ daily shopping with charming finds for visitors.

When and where?

The weekly market in Sóller takes place every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You’ll find it on Plaça de la Constitució and in the adjacent alleys, right in front of the Sant Bartomeu Church in the historic town center.

Directions & Parking

Sóller is located about 30 kilometers north of Palma and is easily accessible by car via the tunnel. A special experience is traveling there by historic train from Palma or by the nostalgic tram (Tramvia) from the harbor. If you’re coming by car, it’s best to park in one of the parking garages on the outskirts of town, as the alleys in the center are narrow and very crowded on market days.

Tip for Your Market Visit

Arrive early to enjoy the morning atmosphere in peace before the crowds arrive. Afterward, plan some time for a coffee on one of the terraces surrounding the square, and be sure to try some freshly squeezed orange juice—a specialty that originated in the Sóller Valley.
