Mallorca is a hiking paradise. The Serra de Tramuntana (UNESCO World Heritage) offers spectacular routes for all levels.
Top hikes
- GR 221 (Dry Stone Route): Famous long-distance trail across the Tramuntana. 8 stages from Port d’Andratx to Pollença.
- Puig de Massanella (1,365m): Highest accessible peak. Moderate, 5-6 hours.
- Torrent de Pareis: Spectacular gorge to Sa Calobra. Challenging, dry weather only!
- Barranc de Biniaraix: Historic cobblestone path. Moderate, 3-4 hours.
- Camí de s’Arxiduc: Panoramic path near Valldemossa. Easy to moderate.
Easy family hikes
- Castell d’Alaró: Castle hike with restaurant. 2-3 hours.
- Boquer Valley (Pollença): Flat walk to a bay. 1.5 hours.
- Parc Natural de Mondragó: Coastal walk. 1-2 hours.
Best season
October to May. Summer is too hot for demanding hikes.
